O my god

I have not had much time to update this blog because of my increasing interest in making puzzles. I've actually been doing alright, and sold my second puzzle to the NY Sun this week. Thus covering my initial investment in the crossword compiler. Today I just sent out another batch of puzzles to the NY Times, and from what I heard. It can take up to 6 months before I hear back. Man, that's as bad as research submissions. Except, with crosswords, I actually get paid and so much more people enjoy my work.

Thrusday's Shteyman puzzle was pretty good. I actually had the audacity to finish it and theme was staring in my face. The theme is O-ring, and it literally has a circle of O's in the middle of the puzzle. Moreover, there are no Os anywhere else. This is really clever, and it made me think of themes that come off the page.

Congratulations! I look forward to seeing your puzzles in print (well, in Across Lite). If they're the ones I test-solved, I look forward to enjoying extra-fast solving times!
